The Saudi king has waived the lashing ordered against a female journalist

You must of heard of story of that Saudi female journalist who was given the lashes sentence about a month ago . There was many tails and SAUDI ARABIAN  are again in the media prescribed as savages AND CRUEL..And all the news agency took the responsibility from this journalist as if she should not held countable for her actions...
In Saudi Arabia adult females and males are acountable.

R.Y was sentenced by a court in the Red Sea city of Jeddah to get 60 lashes for having worked in unlicensed Lebanese channel and for producing a show about an offensive sex confessions of a Saudi man named Mazin Abduljawad .

In my opinion this journalist was responsible about preparing and producing show that was full of public pornography which is illegal in our country. Moreover she produced it and casted to channel that is not licensed in SAUDI ARABIA...so she must be HELD acoutable for that .

Now about the lashing verdict is very unclear to me how the the judges based their initial ruling and how they reached her lashing verdict...especially that flogging in Islam...is mainly for  fornications...“The fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allah” [al-Noor 24:2]
 And what she did is setting an environment for person to tell his offensive disgusting STORIES OF him cheating on his wife... now that's a world class fornicator...she was not involved in any of those stories but she  arranged for him to come and published them to the world...

The punishment is also applicable if the fornicator or the fornicatress confesses to his or her crime four times......the  whips should be of mild in quality, not so new that it would cause injury and not so worn out that it hardly hurts the person .The sensitive areas should be avoided.Flogging with a stick is not allowed...No one should carry out this punishments without the permission of the ruler.

King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz has interfered to drop the lashes sentence and he referred her case to the Ministry of Culture and Information to be dealt with properly.

However,The judge dropped all charges.. and her lawyer and legal adviser , saying that this is prove the integrity of the Saudi justice, that has not been affected by out raged public opinion, stressing that he is demanding a public apology and compensation for all damage caused to her through the media.


The Information Ministry committee which will look into the case , in a media-related matters. It consists of representatives of the justice and information ministries as well as a number of journalists.


As for Mazin Abduljawad he is facing an estimated 200 lawsuits against him from several Saudi Arabians charging with committing a sin openly and public pornography …resulted in send him to jail for 5 years and to get 1000 lashes.
