There are several apps on the iPhone designed to accept credit card payments but it appears that the new app SquareUp has the best set of features. It doesn't need any contracts or monthly fees, and card payments can be accepted through a small device that plugs into the audio jack. Receipts can be sent via email or viewed online and text messages can be used to verify payments in real time.
SquareUp is especially great for cardholders, much like the points you might increase for making purchases ,how cool is that!... It handles tips, can show a picture of the cardholder for owner verification and shows where the purchase was made on a map.
also it makes business owners recognize that you are a regular customer who may be entitled to a freebie. They also donate one cent of each transaction to the charity of your choice.
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is working on this iPhone credit card payment service for some time now .It is his first project after stepping down as Twitter’s CEO. it appears that his SquareUp startup has finally gone live for trial users...who knows it might replace credit cards with payments for ever...
Jack and his team have launched the Web site for the new project, SquareUp.com.SquareUP claims the service will roll out to everyone in 2010,
